The role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will develop electrical systems for the CO2 capture machines, integrating controls. You will collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, conduct analysis, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations to deliver innovative CO2 capture machines. This will involve in-depth 2D and 3D design work and relevant calculations on a high level. It's a mostly on-site role, based in Amsterdam.
Your experience will help create reliable and efficient electrical systems that meet the requirements of our customers and contribute to the overall success of clients' CO2 capture machines.
You'll make an impact by:
Creating detailed (2D/3D) electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation with EPLAN and ProPanel;
Conducting thorough analysis and calculations to ensure optimal electrical design and efficiency;
Selecting and evaluating electrical components and subsystems to meet product requirements;
Working on debugging and launching new prototypes of the CO2 capture machines;
Performing electrical simulations and modeling for system validation and optimization;
Preparing necessary documentation, reports, and test plans for certification purposes;
Executing root cause analysis on prototype models, helping out with improvements on the design;
What we are looking for
You have a Bsc / Msc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
At least 6 years proven experience in electrical design for complex, industrial equipment;
Expert knowledge of using EPLAN for both 2D and 3D design (ProPanel), including Macro's, reporting and documentation, terminal and cable management, labeling and numbering;
Strong relevant calculation skills;
Good knowledge of automation & controls and integration thereof in design;
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations;
Experience with high power as well as low voltage electrical design;
Proactive, self-motivated, and hands on approach to work;
Professional proficiency in English;
Living in The Netherlands or willing to relocate;
Willing and able to work in-office in the Amsterdam region (at least 80%).
