What we think about applying AI in a recruitment process
First of all, we favour of human interaction and authenticity. We will always offer the chance to have personal contact throughout a recruitment process.
However, we can't deny that the use of AI has became common in a short period of time, and it's use will only increase. We want to use it in a sensible way.
We personally tested various tools and only apply them when we're absolutely convinced it adds value, works well and guarantees a pleasant and useful experience for ourselves and applicants.

How we apply AI during the recruitment process
We use AI and automation in different ways and at different steps in the recruitment and selection process:
1) You receive automatically generated emails, that could contain additional questions that represent basic and key selection criteria. Based on your answers, it can be decided to proceed or end the process. These criteria are not related to your skills and experience (eg. "Do you need work permit sponsorship" (Y/N)).
2) Your cv will be analyzed, and you are presented with targeted questions that are related to skills and experience (level) asked for in the job vacancy you applied for. This will result in a matching score.
3) You will be invited for an AI interview, which will be optimized for the job vacancy you applied for. This will result in a report analyzing fit based on soft skills, motivation et cetera.
We will offer full transparancy about the results and, after the initial selection, you can always request a personal meeting to exchange feedback.
We will personally also always look at your cv/resume and additional details, hence we will not rely on AI alone.

Why we apply AI
We don't rely on AI 100%. We will always personally check your details and the AI-generated output and will interfere and reach out in case we disagree with what's indicated by AI.
However, based on testing and trialing ourselves, we have to conclude that AI can be extremely helpful and is often correct in it's assessments. It also ensures an objective, measurable and consistent assessment of applications, without favouritism.
Lastly, applying AI can save a lot of time moving through the process. You can, for example, schedule an AI interview 24/7 and will not be dependent on our office hours. We always aim to combine the best of both worlds: human interaction and AI support.

Your data is protected
We follow GDPR guidelines and only use data storage and -processing partners that adhere to Dutch and European laws regarding data security and privacy. Your details, regardless of the source, will never be shared with other 3rd parties without your previous consent. This includes potential employers.
